TOP STORY: Man Utd join Vlahovic race

Manchester United are interested in highly sought-after striker

Dusan Vlahovic, according to the Daily Mail.

The 21-year-old has turned down a new contract at Fiorentina and with his deal up in 2023, a number of clubs are said to be interested. Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Newcastle United, AC Milan and Juventus have all been linked, with United now said to be in the mix.

The Red Devils are said to be monitoring the striker, who has impressed with his 10 goals and three assists in 13 Serie A appearances so far this season.

The forward has been on a meteoric rise over the past year or so, scoring 21 goals in 37 appearances in the league last season and earning a senior Serbia international call-up.

Reports have suggested that teams could gear up to try and land the youngster for a lower valuation with his deal expiring, while Fiorentina know they have to do a deal by next summer to get the best transfer fee.

With Edinson Cavani's deal running out at the end of the season, there could be an opening in the forward line.

21.30 GMT: Internazionale have agreed a deal to extend the contract of

Federico Dimarco , as has been reported by Calciomercato. The 24-year-old defender's old contract would have expired in 2023, but he will now stay with the Nerazzurri until 2026 while earning approximately €1.6m per season.

20.57 GMT: Brandon Bye has signed a new contract to keep him at New England Revolution until 2024, the club has announced. The 25-year-old full-back registered 29 starts this MLS season, helping the Revolution to their first Supporters' Shield - providing two goals and two assists along the way.

20.24 GMT: New Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard is hoping to sign a centre-back and defensive midfielder in January, according to Football Insider, who add that the Villains are willing to spend big money to improve their spine. It is also stated that they could be willing to offload

Bertrand Traore in order to raise funds, whether that is on a permanent or loan deal.

19.51 GMT: Juventus, Manchester United, Barcelona and AS Roma are all hoping to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder

Denis Zakaria , as has been reported by Nicolo Schira. The Switzerland international's deal expires this summer, and he has already rejected offers from the Bundesliga club to extend his stay in Germany.

19.18 GMT: Alex Meret is looking for assurances that he will be Napoli's regular goalkeeper before signing a new contract, reports Calciomercato, with his deal coming to an end in 2023. The Italian has largely been sharing duties with David Ospina, but with the Colombian seriously considering joining Lazio when his own contract ends this summer, it is said that this is the opportune time for him to become their undisputed main stopper.

18.45 GMT: Aston Villa midfielder

Carney Chukwuemeka will not sign a new contract, which has put some of the Premier League's top clubs on high alert, as has been reported by the Guardian.

The 18-year-old is seen as one of England's brightest talents but has grown frustrated by a lack of first-team opportunities, leading to Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool all looking to bring him in. With his deal ending in 2023, Villa will either look to offload the midfielder in the summer or risk him leaving for free 18 months from now.

18.12 GMT: One of Genoa's priorities is to sign a winger, and manager Andriy Shevchenko would like to bring in West Ham United's

Andriy Yarmolenko , according to Nicolo Schira. The 32-year-old winger, who scored as the Hammers secured top spot in their Europa League group on Thursday, has a contract that comes to an end this summer.

17.39 GMT: Kyle Duncan , who has made one appearance for the United States, has completed his move to KV Oostende, the Belgian club has confirmed. The 24-year-old right-back joins from the New York Red Bulls and will be eligible to play in January, having signed a contract that runs until 2025.

17.06 GMT: Lyon are showing an interest in signing Rangers'

Ianis Hagi , as has been reported by Ekrem Konur. An offer could be made for the midfielder during the January window, although the Romania international has a contract that runs until 2024.

16.33 GMT: New Barcelona coach Xavi has urged the club to renew the contract of

Sergi Roberto , according to Sport.

Roberto, 29, is out of contract at the end of the season and sources told ESPN earlier this year that talks over new terms had stalled. However, the appointment of Xavi could prove pivotal in Roberto's future. The coach "values his versatility," per reports, and wants to tie him down to a new deal.

15.50 GMT: Juventus are hoping Jurgen Klopp's admiration for

Aaron Ramsey will lead to a bid from

Liverpool for the midfielder in January, sources told ESPN.

The 30-year-old is under contract until 2023 but Ramsey could be made available for transfer after struggling to break into the first-team since his arrival.

Sources told ESPN that Klopp has long held Ramsey in high regard and considered formalising that interest when the Wales interational left Arsenal for Juventus in 2019. Liverpool have been short of numbers in midfield after injuries compounded the departure of Georginio Wijnaldum to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.

15.04 GMT: Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says he is not afraid of any of his stars being tempted by a move to

Newcastle, insisting the Gunners can offer his players everything they need in a club.

"I think players should stay at football clubs when they feel that they belong somewhere, when they feel important to it, when they feel valued in every single aspect and when that's the case, normally players want to stay," he said. "When players start to decide something else, it's because they need something different in their futures, and that happens with any club that has financial power to convince anybody, or has other capacities.

"Sometimes it's not the financial power, sometimes it's sporting reasons, sometimes family reasons, sometimes it's a problem of adaptation. There are many different cases."

14.20 GMT: The Sun reports that

Liverpool and

Juventus sent scouts to watch

Olympiakos wonderkid

Aguibou Camara.

Camara, 20, began his career at Lille but didn't make a single appearance for them in Ligue 1 before moving to Greece last summer.

The Guinea international has been hugely impressive at Olympiakos, scoring four goals in his first nine league appearances.

The report says that Camara was watched at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium as Olympiakos beat Fenerbahce 1-0 to book their place in the next round of the Europa League.

Leicester and Newcastle have also been linked with the player.

13.39 GMT: Barcelona fear interest from the Premier League's top clubs in

Ronald Araujo as well as the centre-back's salary demands could complicate their contract renewal negotiations with him, sources told ESPN.

Liverpool and

Manchester United have been monitoring Araujo's development closely and Barcelona want to secure his future as a priority, with the plan to offer him a five-year deal, with his existing contract up in 2023.

12.57 GMT:

Barcelona could swoop for

FC Basel striker

Arthur Cabral in the January transfer window, according to various reports in Spain.

Cabral, 23, has been in fine form for the Swiss side this season, scoring 24 goals in 25 appearances. His performances have caught the eye of Deco, who is working for Barca as an advisor and has recommended the Brazilian to the Catalan club.

Mundo Deportivo claims Barca will target Edinson Cavani and Timo Werner first, but that Cabral is an alternative option.

Diario Sport, meanwhile, says the Blaugrana will move for Cabral, who was called up by Brazil in October, if new coach Xavi Hernandez green lights the move.

Barca want to strengthen their attack in January. They have scored 23 goals in 18 games this season and just two in their five Champions League games. As well as a striker, they would also like a winger, with Mundo Deportivo adding that Raheem Sterling, Jesse Lingard, Dani Olmo and Karim Adeyemi are all potential targets.

12.16 GMT: Football Insider reports that

Chelsea have finally made a breakthrough in contract talks with

Andreas Christensen.

Christensen, 25, is one of four Chelsea defenders who are out of contract at the end of the season. The report says that the Denmark international could soon put pen to paper, before he is able to discuss a precontract with foreign clubs from Jan. 1.

Cesar Azpilicueta, Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva are also approaching the end of their deals.

11.31 GMT: Donny van de Beek and

Anthony Martial have put their January transfer plans on hold ahead of Ralf Rangnick's imminent arrival, sources told ESPN.

Caretaker manager Carrick had been keen to stress to the squad that every member has a clean slate following Solskjaer's departure and Van de Beek and Martial were encouraged by their selection for the 2-0 win over Villarreal, and will now re-asses their options ahead of Rangnick taking over.

Despite interest from a host of other clubs, their preference is to find regular games at

Manchester United and the pair will see how they fit in over the next six weeks before deciding whether or not to push for a move.

10.44 GMT: Barcelona's efforts to convince

Ousmane Dembele to extend his contract with the club have so far proven unsuccessful, with

Newcastle United waiting in the wings, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Dembele, 24, is out of contract at the end of the season and will be free to speak to other clubs in January. Barca have been trying to persuade him to renew for months and have stepped up the charm offensive since the appointment of Xavi Hernandez, who has said Dembele could be one of the best players in the world.

However, per Mundo Deportivo, the France forward's camp believes Barca's financial offer to be insufficient. The report says that it currently seems unlikely he will stay at Camp Nou with Newcastle and Manchester United able to pay far more.

Newcastle, who have recently been taken over by a Saudi Arabian investment fund, are said to be prepared to offer Dembele €15m-per-year in addition to a €15m signing-on fee if he joins on a free transfer next summer.

10.00 GMT: Another transfer link for

Manchester United now, with Spanish outlet Fichajes reporting that

Lazio's

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is their top target should

Paul Pogba leave when his contract is due to expire at the end of the season.

Milinkovic-Savic, 26, has been linked with United in the past, and with Pogba's future up in the air he could be targetted again.

09.18 GMT: Manchester City defender

Oleksandr Zinchenko is on the list of players wanted by

Newcastle United in the January window.

Zinchenko, 24, has played only 56 minutes in the Premier League this season, and the Daily Mail reports that Newcastle are hoping to tempt him into joining their relegation battle.

However, it appears unlikely City would allow him to leave in the winter window no back-up to Joao Cancelo.

08.30 GMT: The Daily Telegraph reports that

Manchester City are to make a renewed bid to get

Raheem Sterling to sign a new contract amid interest from

Barcelona.

Sterling, 26, has a deal which runs until the summer of 2023 and so far there has been no sign of an extension. The England international has had a tough year at club level, though has returned to goal-scoring form this month by scoring in three consecutive games.

But the report says there is no chance that Sterling will be allowed to go out on loan in January, and, as Sterling will move into the final year of his contract in the summer, City have decided to act.

PAPER GOSSIP

- Several Premier League clubs are interested in Barcelona youngster

Ronald Araujo, says Mundo Deportivo. The 22-year-old's current deal expires in 2023, but it includes a €200 million release clause. Some English clubs are said to be monitoring the centre-back, with a potential deal on the table due to his dwindling contract.

- Manchester City are discussing a new contract for striker

Gabriel Jesus, according to Calciomercato. The Brazil international's deal expires in 2023, however Pep Guardiola is hoping he will stay past that date.

- Barcelona could move on summer signing

Memphis Depay to land

Erling Haaland, says El Nacional. The report claims that Juventus were interested in Depay during the transfer window, but he opted for a move to Spain instead. An offer close to €60m could be enough for the Netherlands international to leave, with Xavi said to be eyeing a move for Haaland.

- Newcastle and Juventus could battle it out to land the signature of midfielder

Axel Witsel, reports Tuttosport. The 32-year-old's contract with Borussia Dortmund expires in the summer and is unlikely to be renewed, despite being a regular for the Bundesliga club.

- Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin are eyeing a move for AC Milan winger

Samu Castillejo, reports Calciomercato. The 26-year-old is out-of-favour in Milan, only making three appearances from the bench in Serie A this season.
